====== Sharp FV-310 ====== Manufactured by Sharp, Osaka. In the early 1980s, the Japanese manufacturer Sharp had two compact world band receivers in the catalogue, the analogue set FV310 and the FV610 with built-in frequency counter. ===== Technical data ===== * Principle: Double conversion superhet, IF AM 2500 / 450 kHz / FM 10.7 MHz * Operation modes: AM (A3), FM (F3) * Frequency range: FM, LW, MW, 7 x SW (49 - 13 m - band) * Frequency dial: Analogue dial * Frequency memory: none * Signal strength indicator: Tuning LED * Signal processing: * Features * Sensitivity: AM (A3) / Selectivity: kHz (-6/-60 dB) ==== Power supply ==== * Batteries: 5 x 1.5 V (UM-3) ==== Dimensions ==== * 210 x 135 x 42 mm, weight 0.7 kg ==== Accessories ==== ---- ===== Operation ===== The Sharp FV-310 is a compact world band receiver, the double conversion superhet has bandspread dials for the 49 - 13 m broadcast shortwave bands. The 210 x 135 x 42 mm set in its plastic cabinet has similar dimensions like the Sony ICF-7600. The loudspeaker is located at the left of the front panel, the telescopic antenna is located on the top face of the radio. At the right are the frequency dials of the VHF, longwave, mediumwave and the seven shortwave bands in a vertical arrangement, the set covers the shortwave broadcast bands from 49 - 13 m in sections of 500 kHz.\\ In contrast to the FV-610, which is equipped with a digital frequency counter, there is a simple graphical world timezone chart below the frequency dials. Between the loudspeaker and the frequency dials are the controls to select the seven shortwave bands, the tone and the volume control. The main switch and the band selector switch are located on the right face of the radio. ===== Technical principle ===== The FV-310 is an analogue double conversion receiver. ==== Components ==== The set is equipped with semiconductors. ===== Technical documentation ===== ==== Development ==== ==== Further information ==== * Sharp FV-310 on the website of www.radiomuseum.org
