Siemens RK 777
Manufactured by Sangean, Taiwan.
In 1996, Sangean presented an exceptionally sucessful receiver: the ATS-909. The almost identical set has been sold in Germany as Siemens RK 777; as the price tag of the receivers with the Siemens brand was much higher, then the Sangean original, only quite few sets have been sold.
A while after Siemens withdraw from the domestic radio market, the Sangean receiver was imported and sold as Technisat ATS-909 which was a quite popular set in Germany over many years.

Operation
The Siemens RK 777 or Sangean ATS-909 is a compact dual conversion superhet with PLL frequency synthesis.
It has a large number of partly pre-programmed memories, they can be given alphanumeric labels.
The VHF section has an integrated RDS decoder. The capability to decode RDS signals is very helpful for VHF DXing and for the indentification of the local stations when travelling abroad.
