Manufactured by Uniden, Tokyo.
In 1983 Uniden, the Japanese manufacturer of CB radios and scanners, presented the CR 2021, a shortwave travel receiver whose design appears to be strongly based on the Sony ICF-2001.
The CR 2021 is a battery-operated travel world band radio whose design and conception is strongly based on Sony's ICF-2001.
Tuning can be done by UP/DOWN keys, by direct frequency entry followed by a keystroke on EXECUTE, with a search between two frequencies or by using one of six station memories.
In terms of reception, the set performs very similar to the ICF-2001 from Sony or the other world band receivers available in those years, but was much cheaper at that time.
Double conversion superhet, PLL frequency synthesis.
The set is equipped with semiconductors.
