Sensitivity
The receiver sensitivity, which is listed in the technical specifications of a receiver, indicates the signal strength at the antenna socket from which a signal is intelligible.
Usually, the sensitivity has different specifications depending on the operation mode; the technical documentation of the classic receivers often gives da descripton how the measurements were done.
In more modern publications, the SINAD or signal+noise/noise ratio is usually specified for 10 dB, whereby speech is just barely intelligible.
